Houston Shows Strong Support For Sharp
LEADING STATE REPRESENTATIVES FROM HOUSTON ENDORSE JOHN SHARP FOR UNITED STATES SENATE
(HOUSTON)- United States Senate candidate John Sharp received the enthusiastic endorsement from eight State Representatives from Houston today. John Sharp’s list of endorsements rapidly grows, from all parts of Texas, as Kay Bailey Hutchison prepares to resign.
“Texas needs a full-time U.S. Senator because the challenges we face are too enormous to solve with part-time help,” Representative Senfronia Thompson said. “John Sharp’s expertise on the major issues of the day makes him uniquely qualified to start making a positive difference from the moment he takes the oath of office.”
One of the most respected lawmakers in the Texas House of Representatives, Thompson is also a member of the Democratic National Committee. She is a former schoolteacher, holds a master’s degree in education and is a recognized expert on international law.
Joining Representative Thompson in the endorsement were:
Representative Alma Allen
Representative Harold Dutton
Representative Jessica Farrar
Representative Ana Hernandez
Representative Kristi Thibaut
Representative Hubert Vo
Representative Armando Walle
